Jordan - Our Turn
District 23 started with a simple thought during the Paris Olympics: while the world was watching, the Parisian youth was left out.
So together with Jordan, we decided to turn an abandoned building, which was formerly an iconic department store called TATI, into a place fully dedicated to young people.
For one summer, sports, fashion, and art all came together under one roof, giving a whole generation the chance to connect, create, and celebrate.
We thought through it all: from the full renovation to the scenography, programming, and art direction, every detail was designed to make the space a unique creative experience.
And what was meant to be just an 8-week pop-up is still alive today: proof that when you give young people the space, they’ll make it thrive.
Our District23 logo is inspired from Tati's iconic bags, and patterns from African grocery bags. We spread it across the whole of Paris, from the venue to the merch and our events.
Followed months of (quite) rough drawings, renders, re-renders, and construction to bring the vision to life. From an exhibition space curated by Easy Otabor, to daily music, fashion, and art workshops, to a library: the space was alive for and with the community.
